Unexpected TV reunion of the stars of This Is Us

“This Is Us” stars Justin Hartley and Jennifer Morrison are set to reunite on screen.

The duo, who played Kevin Pearson and Cassidy Sharp on the hit series, will reunite in the season finale of Hartley's CBS drama Tracker.

The series is about Colter Shaw (Hartley), a survivalist and tracker who helps police officers and private individuals for money.

Speaking to Collider, Hartley revealed that Morrison will play a “key role” in the series, as an “old friend of the family [Shaw’s] from when they were children.”

He also joked: “That whole family dynamic comes out a little bit through her experiences with him in the finale. So that's it. I probably shouldn't have told you that, but it's all good.”

The final episode, titled “The Storm,” airs on May 19 and follows Shaw as he investigates the disappearance of two storm chasers who police believe accidentally drowned. But the tracker is sure there's more to the story and seeks to uncover “the seedy underbelly of a small resort town.”

This isn't Hartley's first “This Is Us” reunion, as his former co-star Jon Huertas, who played Miguel Rivas on the show, recently signed a deal to direct the ninth episode of “Tracker.”

Morrison joined the hit family drama in the fourth season when her character Cassidy met protagonist Kevin in rehab. The pair quickly developed a romantic connection that later fizzled out, but they remained close friends.

The reunion comes after stars Mandy Moore, Sterling K Brown and Chris Sullivan announced a new rewatch podcast called “That Was Us,” which will explore the popular show from a 2024 perspective.

“We'll dissect each episode, invite some very special guests, have difficult conversations, and maybe do some collective healing along the way,” the trio wrote on Instagram.

This Is Us aired on NBC in the US and is available on Prime Video or Disney+ in the UK.
