Actor Glen Powell has explained why he turned down a role in an upcoming Jurassic World film, which will be released next year.

The 35-year-old, who is promoting his new film HitManwas first noticed for his role as executioner in Top Shooter: Maverick in 2022.

He recently spoke about the financial pressure caused by the film's delay, admitting that the wait almost left him broke.

Now the Everyone except you The star has explained why he turned down the chance to star in the popular franchise, which is rumored to feature Bridgerton's Jonathan Bailey and avenger Actor Scarlett Johansson.

The Jurassic Park films are based on the bestselling novels by Michael Crichton and follow the chaos that ensues when formerly extinct dinosaurs are unleashed on humans.

There have been six films and various spin-offs over the past two decades, including a theme park in Orlando, Florida. The original three films were released in 1993, 1997 and 2001.

Last month, Bridgerton “The 40 Years of the Year” star Jonathan Bailey is rumored to be starring in the film, shortly after reports surfaced that Scarlett Johansson is also in talks to become the face of the upcoming reboot, which is expected to feature an entirely new cast.

The film is directed by Godzilla Filmmaker Gareth Edwards, with Steven Spielberg, who directed the original 1993 classic, as producer, according to deadline.
