Derrick White is baffled by Jaylen's rejection of the All-NBA title after 40 points in Game 2

Jaylen Brown was all over him through the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals as the Boston Celtics took a 2-0 lead over the Indiana Pacers after their 126-110 win in Game 2 on Thursday night. Brown nearly doubled his 26-point performance from Game 1 with 40 points in Game 2.

Before the game, there was much debate about why Brown was not named to the All-NBA team. While his coaches and teammates rushed to his defense and reiterated that he should have received the All-NBA honor, Brown decided to let his play speak for itself.

In addition to his 40 points on 14 of 27 shooting, Brown also contributed five rebounds, three assists and one steal.

Inspired by Brown's performance, Celtics guard Derrick White joined Abby Chin of NBC Sports Boston to share his thoughts on his teammate's All-NBA rejection.

“He's unbelievable,” White said of Brown, as seen in the video player above. “He was 100 percent snubbed. He's been a big deal for us all year on both ends of the court. A snubbed snub – I don't understand that.”

Brown finished the regular season averaging 23 points and a career-high 49.9 percent shooting, along with 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals per game while reducing his turnovers to just 2.4 per game.

According to White, a spot on the All-NBA team wasn't the only thing Brown wasn't offered. He said Wednesday that Brown would have been named to the All-Defensive team as well.

“First of all, JB definitely deserves it,” White said. “He's been incredible all season and he's taken on that challenge. Anytime there was a big name or a big player, he wanted the challenge. He's set the tone for us all season and I think he definitely deserves it.”

In the first twelve playoff games, Brown now has an average of 24.8 points at a rate of 54.4 percent and can also record 6.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and almost one steal per game.

The Celtics will look to solidify their position in the series when they travel to Indiana for Game 3 against the Pacers on Saturday night.
