X-Men fans couldn't even see the best storyline from Days of Future Past in the cinema

Marvel's animated series for Disney+, X-Men '97 has provided a striking picture of Rogue, a X-Men Character was long ignored in cinematic representation. Especially in the 20th Century Fox X-Men Movies where Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique was preferred to Anna Paquin's Rogue.

It’s not that Rogue was completely out of the picture, X-Men The creators definitely had the character in mind, but the omission of her character was a pain for the fans. Bryan Singers X-Men: Days of Future Past celebrated its 10th anniversary and Rogue could have been an important character in the film, but there was a reason why the director decided to leave her out of the theatrical version of the film.

Bryan Singer2014 Movie X-Men: Days of Future Past must be one of the best films in the series with a gripping storyline that keeps fans hooked to the wonders on screen. But when Rugue was taken out of the film, they also had to endure immense pain.

But the creators have a good reason for what fans would call a criminal move: Anna PaquinRogue could have been seen more, but according to producer Hutch Parker, it wouldn't have made much sense to extend her scenes in the film. In an exclusive chat with Bleeding Cool (via CinemaBlend) Parker revealed the details why she was taken out of the film.

None of us wanted that sequence to be taken away, but that was the storyline. Because it was so self-contained, it was really its own separate mission, that it could actually be removed with the least negative impact on anything that came before or after it.

Paquin's Rogue was featured in the film's early trailers, but in the theatrical version of the film, her appearances were deleted, at least for the most part. Later, the film's deleted scenes were released, sparking another wave of excitement among fans.

From the producer’s point of view, it is not difficult to understand, but it would not take a second for everyone X-Men Fans to recognize that the Villain Cut Release gave fans ultimate goosebumps. But fans have always been divided on the Rogue and Mystique debate. Rogue was certainly one of the most important characters in the X-Men comics and we're glad she was heavily featured in the animated series, but Rogue Cut also showed that an expansion of her character would have worked.

There is more to see of Rogue as she has since been booked for an appearance in the franchise X-Men in 2000, the franchise would have gone in a different direction, but instead other characters eventually gained more importance, including Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique. Here's what fans said about Mystique over Rogue in the X-Men debate in a Rescuing Rogue clip shared on JoBlo Superheroes.

Rogue's powers made more sense for the Sentinels than Mystique, she was only removed from the film to make room for Jennifer Lawrence.

Rogue being there is quite comforting for some reason; it just reminds me of how the whole franchise started in the first place. It still annoys me that they cut that scene out.

That simple “Hello, Logan” gave me goosebumps. Those two got everything rolling in this franchise.

I love Anna Paquin as Rogue. I hate how they basically wrote her character out of the show. She was such an important character in the first movie, but in the third movie she's only on screen for two minutes. Her scenes were completely cut from the theatrical version of Days of Future Past. That just seems like a huge disservice to the character and to Anna Paquin.

Regardless, the Rogue Cut would have lasted X-Men: Days of Future Past by another 17 minutes. Fortunately, fans were spoiled with the scenes in the Blu-Ray and DVD versions.
