Shadow of the Erdtree leak reveals new screenshots

Screenshots of Elden RingThe first Shadow of the Erdtree DLCs have leaked online less than a month before the highly anticipated release. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the first and only expansion to FromSoftware's critically acclaimed open-world game Soulsborne, which promises to go beyond the borders of the Between Lands. Set in the Land of Shadow, the Elden Ring The DLC offers a whole new environment to explore with new dungeons, equipment, and enemies for players to discover.

With the upcoming release of Shadow of the Erdtree, the developers have begun to reveal more details about what the DLC will offer. Concept art, screenshots, and videos have given fans a deeper look into the world of the Shadowlands. Most notably, this included a full cinematic story trailer for Shadow of the Erdtree, which offered a chilling glimpse into a bloody war waged under the command of the expansion's main antagonist, Messmer the Impaler. The trailer also gave a taste of the fate of Miquella, the beloved missing demigod who is said to have traveled to the Shadowlands prior to the events of . Elden Ring.

Now fans have been given another glimpse of the locations that await them in the Land of Shadow, through leaked screenshots published in Korean video game web magazine Ruliweb, which showed several images of a monitor displaying the overworld of Elden RingThe only expansion of. Most of these images showed the regions of the maps, from vast plains to massive ruins overlooking high cliffs. There also appeared to be screenshots of some of the new dungeons, particularly a massive cavern with stalagmites and cauldrons hanging from the ceiling everywhere.

While the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion promises more of what was deserved Elden Ring its title as Game of the Year 2022, previous screenshots posted by developers suggested that some of the new areas could also be inspired by some of FromSoftware's previous games. Several images of the DLC in particular suggested that the dark, gothic architecture and grotesque creatures of Blood transfused strongly influenced some Elden Ring's territories and enemies.

As anticipation grows for the release of Shadow of the Erdtree, Elden Ring Fans are already preparing for their journey through the Land of Shadow. With less than a month to go before the expansion's debut, players can't wait to return to arguably FromSoftware's most successful video game and find answers to the many questions left unanswered by the base game.
