Bronny James gives a two-word answer about potentially playing with his dad, LeBron

USC guard Bronny James is training at the draft combine for NBA scouts this week and was naturally asked about the potential of playing with his father, LeBron James.

While LeBron has expressed his desire to play with his son in the past, that stance has publicly softened in the last year or so as Bronny gets closer to beginning his professional career.

Did Bronny ever dream of playing with his father?

“No, never,” Bronny began. “My dream has always just been to get my name out there, make a name for myself and get to the NBA, which is the end goal of everyone here. “I never thought about just playing with my dad, but of course he brought it up a few times,” Bronny said with a smile.

“But yeah, I don’t think about it much.”

Reports surfaced this week that Bronny could go in the first round despite a lack of eye-catching numbers at the college level because of his ability to sell tickets in the G League and because of a franchise's ability to lure LeBron away from the Lakers.

Of course, as long as LeBron is under contract in Los Angeles, the possibility of the Lakers selecting his son remains on the table.

The NBA Draft will take place June 26-27 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
