Julia Garner stars in the shocking series based on a true story

A Netflix series that captivated viewers upon its release is now receiving high praise again thanks to fans going for another round.

Anyone who has a favorite television show will be used to playing it over and over again, but often these are light-hearted shows Friends or The office which are at the top of the list of infinite loops.

Even though we know what happens to people like Ross and Rachel and Pam and Jim, the shows continue to provide endless entertainment – but the same goes for true crime shows, apparently.

Despite knowing how everything will turn out, Netflix users have revealed that they have started re-watching a particular series that dramatizes real-life events between 2013 and 2017.

The series focuses on the story of Anna Sorokin, also known as Anna Delvey, starring Julia Garner and follows her character as she takes on the role of a wealthy heiress in New York's upper class.

Over several years, Anna defrauded and defrauded a number of major corporations out of thousands of dollars while maintaining the appearance of an ambitious and sophisticated socialite.

The Netflix series titled invent Anna, follows a journalist who delves into Anna's life and tries to find out who she really is.

It was originally released in February 2022, after which Netflix reported that it had broken the record of becoming the most-watched English-language series in a single week.

The series shot to the top of Netflix's top 10 TV shows at the time, but more than two years later, fans are still raving about it.

After a Netflix user asked for “reviews.” Invent Anna On LADbible's Facebook Bangers page, one fan wrote: “I was obsessed with it. I recently started doing it again.”

Another added: “Yeah it was great when it came out and it's still the third time I've seen it lol.”

“I liked that very much. I’ve seen it several times,” commented a third.

Other viewers rated the series a “10/10,” although some critics were harsher, as the series earned a mediocre score of 64 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

Garner has previously opened up about how she landed the role on the series, admitting that she felt a “bond” to the con artist after playing for “almost two years.”

“I understand Anna’s worst fears,” she told Netflix’s Tudum. “Anna's fear of being rejected and fear of failure. That’s something that everyone will identify with when they watch the show – fear of failure, fear of being rejected.”

Invent Anna is now available to stream on Netflix.
