Miners Baseball falls in the first game of the playoff round

The Miners boys baseball team fell in the first game of the playoff round on Monday afternoon, losing to Timpanogos 3-2.

Park City conceded a run in both the third and fifth innings, but rallied in the seventh to score two runs of its own. In the bottom half of the seventh, they conceded a walkoff shot to midfield.

The Miners are now in the double-elimination bracket, on the verge of elimination from the playoffs. They take on Crimson Cliffs at 11 a.m. Tuesday, again at Salt Lake Community College. Crimson Cliffs lost 3-2 to Snow Canyon on Monday.
