Report: Penn State football linebacker Keon Wylie will miss time with an undisclosed injury

According to On3 and 247Sports, Penn State football linebacker Keon Wylie will miss “significant” time due to an undisclosed injury.

Wylie did not appear at the Blue-White game last month and was absent during the final media releases of spring training. With Curtis Jacobs heading to the NFL and Abdul Carter moving to defense, the redshirt sophomore was expected to play a larger role next season.

Wylie was a three-star recruit coming out of the Imhotep Institute 247Sport, and redshirted his freshman year after being named the team's Developmental Squad Defensive Player of the Year. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker took part in all 13 contests last season and recorded 17 tackles, including five for a loss and three sacks.

Spokespeople for Penn State Athletics did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
