Harmony Korine's Infrared Hitman Movie Hits Theaters This Week – Punch Drunk Critics

When it comes to spring breakers, The beach bumAnd Mr. Lonely Director Harmony Korine, expect the unexpected. His latest film AGGRO DR1FT might sound like a regular killer movie about a killer with a family trying to balance these completely different aspects of his life. But what you actually get is a lot of strange vibes and a film that Korine decided to shoot entirely in infrared.

The result is a psychedelic trip that is difficult to decipher. Reviews by AGGRO DR1FT were pretty tough and there was minimal excitement as there was hardly any advertising. It doesn't help that the film lacks the star power of Korine's previous films, which featured big names like Matthew McConaughey, James Franco, Selena Gomez and Snoop Dogg.

The cast is headed by Jordi Molla and rapper Travis Scott.

Here is the Synopsis: AGGRO DR1FT breaks away from the traditional parameters of cinema and explores the onslaught of digital ephemera, questioning modern life through the vernacular of video games. Shot entirely through an infrared lens, the film follows a Miami Beach hitman as he embarks on a relentless pursuit of his next target.

AGGRO DR1FT opens in select theaters on May 10th.
