Kevin Garnett's viral post on X during Timberwolves-Nuggets Game 2

On Monday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of their second round playoffs by a score of 106-80.

The Timberwolves lead the series 2-0 and won both road games in Denver.

During Game 2, Timberwolves legend (and Basketball Hall of Fame member) Kevin Garnett sent out several posts on X that received thousands of likes.

Garnett's first post: “It’s that ENERGY. Ewing, Starks, Reggie, Smits… listen, Lord. 😤😤😤

Garnett's second post: “This is the defensive version of what the Warriors did on offense when the league wasn't ready! A defense that sells tickets!? 😤😤😤😤😤”

The Timberwolves are the third seed in the Western Conference and have a record of 56-26.

They are participating in the NBA playoffs for the third consecutive year, but this is the first time they have appeared in the second round (since Kevin Garnett was on the roster in 2004).

The Timberwolves defeated the Phoenix Suns in the first round, meaning they will also start the 2024 playoffs with a perfect 6-0.

Game 3 of the series will take place on Friday evening at Target Center.

Whoever wins the series will reach the Western Conference finals and face the Dallas Mavericks or the OKC Thunder.

Garnett is one of the greatest players of all time and retired after the 2015-16 season.

He played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets for 21 years.

In 2008, Garnett led the Celtics to the NBA championship.
