Dallas Stars will face Colorado Avalanche in the second round of the Stanley Cup

The Dallas Stars are in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. After exorcising some playoff demons against the reigning Cup champions, the Vegas Golden Knights, in Round 1, the Stars face Hart Trophy finalist Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche, who won the 2022 Cup. Nobody ever said the playoffs were easy.

Dallas learned a lot about itself in seven first-round games, but scheduling — and rest periods — are not on the stars' side. Nevertheless, they continue their search for the Stanley Cup.
