John Carpenter didn't like the highest rated film of the year

It's been almost a year since the summer box office was revived with an unparalleled double feature. It was a popular IP with a strong cast and director. Oppenheimer was stranger. Yes, it was Christopher Nolan, but it was also a three-hour biopic, shot partly in black and white.
