Police investigate shooting outside Drake's Toronto home

Someone was shot outside Drake's mansion in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, early Tuesday morning.

Accordingly CTV News TorontoA man was injured in the incident and taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The shooting reportedly took place overnight and occurred very close to Drake's home in Bridle Path, known as “The Embassy.”

I know what people think first. Was Drake injured?

Local authorities have made it clear that he was not the person who was shot and that he is willing to cooperate with police in the investigation.

Toronto Police Operations provided more details in a social media post, saying the incident occurred between Bayview Ave. and Lawrence Ave E. occurred after 2:00 a.m. The suspect left the scene after the shooting occurred.

Although authorities know when and where the incident occurred, they do not currently have any descriptions of the suspect or the vehicle in which he fled. The area has been cordoned off by police since this morning and they are expected to release further details later today.

The timing of this incident is obviously eerie considering it occurred just days afterward The craziest weekend in rap history which involves Drake and his Compton rival Kendrick Lamar. Within six days, six songs were created between these two artists.

Two from Drake (“Family matters” And “The heart part 6“) and four by Lamar (“euphoria“”6:16 In LA“”Meet the Grahams,” And “Not like us.”)

Ironically, the cover of K-Dot's most recent and popular dissident track, “Not Like Us,” features an aerial view of Drake's Bridle Path home with several red markers above it. These markings are similar to those found on maps that mark the homes of registered sex offenders.

In short, before Lamar even heard the song, he called Drake and his associates sexual predators, and he continues to do so when you hear the lyrics.

These are unsubstantiated claims that Drake later denied on his latest album, The Heart Part 6.
