Sleeping Beauty hair was a big trend of the 2024 Met Gala

Extraaaaaaaaaaa long Sleeping Beauty hair was a big deal at the 2024 Met Gala. We've seen it appear countless times on the red carpet – which this time was green and white and flanked by foliage and white roses.

It makes sense. The theme of the evening was “The Garden of Time”, so romantic fairytale flowers were already an important reference. We saw tendrils snaking around the dresses and through the hair, but we also saw dangling princess hair and ponytails completing the look.

More specifically, the evening marked the start of this year's fashion exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of the Arts, which will be open to the public from May 10th. It's the title? Sleeping Beauty: Resurgent Fashion. It's not a reference to Disney. Instead, it celebrates 250 pieces of historical clothing that normally lie “asleep” in the archives and (due to their fragility) are displayed lying in glass display cases. But that didn't stop Aurora's hair from dominating the evening.

We've seen it on people like Kendall Jenner, Ariana Grande, Keke Palmer, Elizabeth Debicki, and more.

Here are some of our favorite ways the celebs wore Sleeping Beauty hair at the 2024 Met Gala…

Jamie McCarthy

Kendall Jenner wore curled butt-length braids with victory rolls to give the parting a vintage vibe.
