Cheryl Tweedy's casting in 2:22 A Ghost Story will make every Girls Aloud fan think the same thing

The announcement that Cheryl Tweedy takes on the lead role in West End show 2:22 A Ghost Story has sparked a huge reaction Girls loudly Fans on social media.

It was announced on Wednesday morning that the record-breaking singer would be joining the cast of the spooky production starting next month.

She will take on the role of Jenny Laura Whitmorewhere the character was previously played by Lily Allen And I'm a celebrity champion Giovanna Fletcher.

But shortly after the news broke, British pop fans had only one thing on their minds – Cheryl's first encounter with the supernatural on the underrated reality show Ghosthunting With Girls Aloud…

Speaking about her upcoming role, which marks her first West End appearance, Cheryl said: “I am SO excited to be starring in the West End thriller 2:22 A Ghost Story!! I will be playing the role of Jenny from January to April!

“I saw the show with a previous cast and loved it! It is a completely new and exciting experience for me. So if you’re looking for a fun night out and some entertainment in your New Year, tickets are on sale now.”

Since opening in 2021, 2:22 A Ghost Story has also featured appearances by Harry Potter star Tom Felton, Encanto Actress Stephanie Beatriz, former EastEnders star Jake WoodBusted singer Matt Willis And James Buckley from The people in between Fame.

Cheryl is joined in the production by People Just Do Nothing's Hugo Chegwin as Ben, Horrible Histories actress Louise Ford as Lauren and theater star Scott Karim as Sam.
