LeBron James makes NBA history in Game 4 of Lakers vs. Nuggets

The Los Angeles Lakers avoided a sweep in Game 4 on Saturday night, ending their 11-game losing streak against the Denver Nuggets. With the Lakers forcing a Game 5 in Denver, they still have a lot of work to do to overcome a 3-0 deficit, but they are now on target in this series.

LeBron James was great throughout the series, finishing this game with 30 PTS, 5 REB, 4 AST, and 3 STL while shooting an efficient 14/23 from the field. According to Basketball Reference's StatHead, James is the oldest player in NBA playoff history to hold this line in a game. At 39 years old, James overtakes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who reached this line in 1984 at the age of 37. The Lakers needed this big night from James as they were finally able to maintain the lead against the Nuggets and get a win.

As mentioned, the Lakers are still facing a massive deficit and lost 3-1 to the Nuggets heading into Game 5 in Denver. However, Los Angeles is trying to move things along game by game and now has a win against Denver for the first time in a long time. The Lakers will look to send this series back to Los Angeles with a road win against Denver in Game 5.
