LeBron James and Anthony Davis react to the Lakers' loss to the Nuggets

The Los Angeles Lakers once again suffered a 3-0 playoff deficit against the Denver Nuggets, this time in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

The Nuggets beat them in the Western Conference finals a year ago and have now beaten the Lakers 11 times in a row. But LeBron James is trying to keep hope alive.

“At this point, you just take it one game at a time,” he told reporters when asked if the Lakers believe they could become the first team in NBA history to ever pull off the reverse sweep ( Mark 5:52). “You lose, you go home, so you come out with the attitude, let’s get one. Force a Game 5 and then we move on. As long as you still have life, you always have faith. I’m just thinking about you.” Play until the wheels fall off. That's always what it's all about for me.

“Our focus and our mental focus right now is to get one,” Anthony Davis added. “I'm trying to get a game on Saturday and then move on. We can’t focus on that.” [the 11-game losing streak to Denver]Our focus is on trying to get better. Starting tonight, learn from our mistakes and try to get a win on Saturday.”

It's a matter of survival for the Lakers as they now face the daunting task of winning four straight games against the defending champions. It's not impossible, but it certainly feels incredibly unlikely.
