Twitter down: X users report an outage in the app and website as posts fail to load

The popular social network, still known by its former name Twitter, encountered problems at 9:45 a.m. ET, causing major problems in the US, UK, the rest of Europe and Asia.

Users complain that their feed doesn't load properly, leaving them unable to enjoy the content on their For You and Following pages, while others struggle with a blank screen.

Currently, the world does not know what caused the problem and many are hoping that X or even Elon Musk himself will make a statement to explain the inconvenience.

The extent of the problem is not yet known; However, DownDetector, a website known for monitoring online outages, has claimed that the scale of the bug is quite large.

The site has confirmed that X is down in a variety of major cities across the US, with users experiencing issues from the East Coast in New York to the West Coast in Los Angeles.

X users reporting problems with the social networking platform have confirmed that Elon Musk is having more than one problem. By one estimate, a whopping 77% of issues are website related, while 16% of consumers struggle with the app. Additionally, 7% of people noticed that their server connection was down.

In total, more than 6,000 users have informed DownDetector that they were hindered by the frustrating outage.

The widespread horror show has hit both the UK and US, with more than two-thirds of users reporting difficulties.

However, the X-Tech team is working hard to resolve the issues to give users the enjoyable browsing experience they have come to know and love.

And it looks like they're slowly on the road to success: the number of complaints is quickly decreasing and users can once again use the website to their heart's content. The Daily Express reported that the number of complaints to be addressed had fallen to 100 as of 3:15 p.m. UK time and 10:15 p.m. Eastern time.

It is hoped that by the end of the day, X will have completely resolved the situation and hopefully there will be no further cause for concern.
