The Baltimore Orioles are in Anaheim, California for the first of a three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday night, April 22nd.

First pitch is scheduled to take place at 9:39 p.m. EDT and you can watch the game on MLB Network or other live stream platforms such as ESPN+, fubo TV (add-on, free trial), and DirecTV Stream (add-on), try for free) and Sling TV (add-on, discount in the first month).

The Orioles cruised to a 5-0 victory in Kansas City on Sunday as Colton Cowser and Jordan Westburg hit back-to-back home runs against Royals starter Seth Lugo, who hadn't allowed a home run since last September.

Cole Irvin (1-1) scattered four hits and two walks in 6 2/3 innings for Baltimore. He left a runner on third base in the first inning and another on second base in the fifth inning while picking up his first win since defeating the Royals on June 10, 2023.

“Just a quality team game,” Irvin told The Associated Press. “I felt like we did all the little things right today.”

The Royals were suspended for the first time this season after being suspended 15 times last year.

Ryan Mountcastle added an RBI double and Westburg went up 4-0 with the bases full in the sixth. Ryan O'Hearn drove in a run with an infield single in the eighth to help Baltimore pull away.

The Royals tried to rally in the eighth by putting runners on the corners with one out. But Danny Coulombe froze Salvador Perez with a pitch to the inside corner and then struck out Nelson Velázquez to end the inning.

Gunnar Henderson has two doubles, two triples, six home runs and 15 RBI while batting .279 for the Orioles, while Westburg is 16 for 38 with two doubles, a triple and three home runs in the last 10 games.

Taylor Ward has three doubles and six home runs for the Angels, while Anthony Rendon has gone 14 of 38 with a double in the last 10 games.

They opened the season in Baltimore, losing the first two games 11-3 and 13-4 before salvaging the series with a 4-1 win.
