RCB trolls with memes after Pat Cummins' SRH rocks Chinnaswamy Stadium with historic 287

Sunrisers Hyderabad have stormed into the 2024 IPL season with a relentless energy that refuses to let up. And their clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium was further proof of that as Pat Cummins and his team unleashed an attack that took everyone by surprise. After all, setting a new record in the middle of the season isn't something everyone can achieve, but SRH did it with style and confidence, thanks to Travis Head's century and Heinrich Klaasen's solid fifty that took their team to a whopping total of 287 have.

In response, RCB's bowlers faced relentless attacks, resulting in some unwanted records of their own. Reece Topley and Vyshak Vijay Kumar had to bear the brunt, conceding 68 and 64 runs respectively, while Lockie Ferguson and Yash Dayal also struggled, conceding 52 runs each. Although RCB's batsmen showed some fight, their bowling problems saw the team suffer another defeat, this time by a margin of 25 runs.

Of course, social media is awash with memes aimed at 'welcoming' RCB in a humorous way and leaving no stone unturned to troll them left, right and centre.

But just when the game seemed one-sided, Dinesh Karthik proved to be an unexpected savior for RCB. The veteran wicketkeeper-batsman stepped in at number 6 when hope seemed to be fading and unleashed a ferocious attack that single-handedly revived RCB's chances. His remarkable innings of 83 runs off just 35 deliveries, despite being broken by T Natarajan in the penultimate over, gave the home team a much-needed dose of hope. And as he walked away from the goal line, the crowd rose to its feet and gave his remarkable performance a standing ovation.

Everyone knew they would lose but Karthik's valiant attempt at a comeback brought an exciting dose of excitement to the game.
