Which NBA players generated the most social media views this season?

The 2023-24 NBA regular season ended on Sunday and the league released a list of the players who generated the most social media views during the season. Here's a look at the top 10 players whose highlights garnered the most online attention this season:

1. LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers: 1.9 billion views

It should come as no surprise that arguably the greatest player of all time garnered the most views. At 39 years old, James has shown no signs of slowing down as he averaged 25.7 points, 8.3 assists and 7.3 rebounds while shooting 54% from the field and 41% from 3-point range ( a career high). It's not all good news for the 20-time All-Star, however, as the Lakers are fighting for a No. 8 seed in the postseason.

2. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors: 1.7 billion views

The second face of the NBA behind James is undoubtedly Curry. He's the greatest 3-point shooter of all time, has great handles, and plays in one of the biggest markets, so of course he gets a lot of social media views. Not to mention, he's one of the favorites to win the NBA's Clutch Player of the Year award, which doesn't hurt. Curry had two of the five most-watched games of the 2023-24 NBA season, as listed here.

3. Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio Spurs: 1.3 billion views

Wemby is perhaps the most touted prospect in the history of the league and has fully lived up to the expectations attached to his name. He averaged 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.6 blocks on 46.5% shooting in 71 appearances and became the first player in NBA history to score more than 1,500 points in a single season Scored more than 250 blocks and more than 100 steals. Wembanyama is a household name not only in the United States, but also in his home country of France. The international attention, immense hype, and skills unique to his height (7 feet 7 inches) likely helped him break the one billion views mark.

4. Luka Dončić, Dallas Mavericks: 1.2 billion views

Dončić has one of the most entertaining personalities in the NBA, coupled with perhaps the most complete offensive game that is sure to draw a crowd. Dončić is one of the top MVP candidates this year, alongside Nikola Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Luka averaged career highs in points (33.9), assists (9.8) and 3-point percentage (38.2).
