Man suffers life-threatening injuries after shooting on Madison's north side

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A man is suffering life-threatening injuries after a shooting on Madison's north side Wednesday night, Madison police said.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., Madison police and firefighters responded to the 1900 block of Northport Drive for a report of a gunshot victim. When officers arrived on scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

MPD says he was then transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

MPD says the crime scene is currently active as authorities investigate and interview witnesses. WMTV 15 News is currently on scene monitoring the incident.
