iPhone 16 Pro leaks: New colors, camera upgrade and 2TB storage option

A recent leak published by a reliable source, Landsk, reveals exciting updates to the iPhone 16 Pro series, including new color options, a 48-megapixel main camera, and a massive 2TB storage capacity. The aim of these improvements is to set new standards for Apple's flagship smartphone range.

A brand new source (via Android Headlines report), Landsk, who has a proven track record of accurate leaks, has just confirmed several iPhone 16 Pro rumors. The information he shared about Naver is said to have come from reliable sources in China.

He claims that the iPhone 16 Pro will feature two new colors, Desert Yellow and Cement Gray, which are expected to replace the iPhone 15 Pro's Blue Titanium and Natural Titanium options. These new colors depart from the previous metallic tones and give the new model a fresh and unique aesthetic.

The source also claims that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature a 48-megapixel primary camera with a custom Sony IMX903 primary sensor. It will feature a 1MG+, 7P molded glass-plastic module. The iPhone 15 Pro Max, on the other hand, uses the Sony IMX803 sensor.

Interestingly, the iPhone 16 Pro Max was explicitly mentioned and not the entire iPhone 16 Pro series. However, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to use the same main camera.

According to the source, the iPhone 16 Pro will have a 2TB storage option. Many people have asked about this, especially those who shoot videos in Apple's ProRes format. This makes it easy to fill up the storage.

The screen sizes of the two “Pro” phones have also been adjusted. The iPhone 16 Pro will have a 6.3-inch panel and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch display. We've heard that many times before.

Landsk's battery detail piqued my interest. He claims that the iPhone 16 Pro series will feature a “larger battery to enable longer battery life of more than 30 hours.”

Interestingly, a recent rumor suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro's battery capacity will only be increased by 2%. This could be a concern for some as it will make the display stand out more and require more power. However, it's worth noting that the source may have meant the iPhone 16 Pro Max and not the iPhone 16 Pro, which could have a larger battery capacity to accommodate the larger display.
