This game is the reason Victor Wembanyama should be named Defensive Player of the Year

It feels like Victor Wembanyama is doing something on the basketball court every night that we've never seen before. A 7-foot-5 guy turning a Shammgod into a spin into a layup just doesn't make sense.

But what if I told you that might not even be the most impressive thing he did in this game alone? Because it justifiably couldn't be that way.

There was a debate about who should win the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year award this year. At this point in the year, Rudy Gobert is the leading candidate, and rightfully so considering how impressive the Timberwolves' defense has been this year.

But listen, man. Say what you want. Rudy Gobert doesn't go on a 3-on-1 fast break without lifting a finger like Victor Wembanyama did against the Grizzlies.
