NBA Rumors: Giannis avoids Achilles tendon damage after injury in Bucks win over Celtics | News, results, highlights, statistics and rumors

The Milwaukee Bucks received positive news regarding Giannis Antetokounmpo's injury on Wednesday.

Charania added that the timeline for Antetokounmpo's return depends on how his calf responds to treatment and rehab.

“[Giannis Antetokounmpo’s] Achilles tendon is fine. However, he has a calf strain and that puts an uncertain timetable for him. Typically, such calf strains can last at least 1 to 2 weeks.”

It appeared Antetokounmpo suffered a potentially devastating injury against the Celtics when he fell to the ground without physical contact in the third quarter.

“But he’s Giannis,” he continued. “I think everyone is probably feeling the same way as me right now. We’ll just go.” [to] hope for the best.”

That's why Wednesday's news regarding his injury came as a huge relief, even though Antetokounmpo doesn't have much time to get back to full strength before the Bucks open the playoffs next week.
