The Grizzlies fall to the 76ers, 116-96

The Memphis Grizzlies (27-51) fell to the Philadelphia 76ers (43-35) 116-96 on Saturday at FedExForum. The 76ers ended the Grizzlies' three-game winning streak and extended their winning streak to four games. The Grizzlies and 76ers split the season series 1-1, with the away team winning every game.

Joel Embiid recorded a double-double with 30 points and 12 rebounds in 23 minutes to lead the 76ers. Kelly Oubre Jr. scored 17 points, five rebounds and five assists. Jeff Dowtin Jr. scored 11 points and five rebounds and KJ Martin added 10 points and six rebounds off the bench.

Scotty Pippen Jr. He set a career high with 24 points, five assists and two steals for the Grizzlies. GG Jackson II scored 17 points and six rebounds. Jordan Goodwin scored 15 points, four assists and four rebounds. Zavier Simpson contributed a season high of 14 points. Maozinha Pereira posted a double-double with 13 points and a career-high 11 rebounds.

Timmy Allen who signed a 10-day contract with the Grizzlies became the 32ndnd No other player appeared for Memphis this season, a new NBA single-season record.

The 76ers ended the first half with a 10-0 run and led 62-42 at halftime. Philadelphia led by 27 points in the second half.

The Grizzlies retreated Marc Gasol's jersey number 33 after the game. Gasol played 11 seasons with the Grizzlies (2008-19), helping the franchise to seven consecutive playoff appearances, including the club's first postseason victory in 2011 and a trip to the Western Conference Finals in 2013.

The Grizzlies will face the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, April 9 at 7 p.m. CT at FedExForum to complete their three-game homestand. The game will be broadcast on Bally Sports Southeast and 92.9 FM ESPN.
